Who Is Kyley Guy?
I am a true Pacific Northwest child. I grew up with camping trips being family vacations and hikes being the go-to weekend activity. As I got older, I discovered skiing, dirtbikes, driving up dirt roads in the forest, backpacking, alpine lakes, fishing... you get the gist. I feel most like myself when I am in nature. I have never been the kind of girl who is scared to get dirty. However, I am the kind of girl who loves to try new things, travel to new places, and meet new people. I am always down for a new adventure because it may be the best one yet. If I had to choose a favorite thing about myself, it would be my optimism. The fact that I can think with an open mind and a kind heart in almost every situation is admirable.
I am excited to use my optimism and bubbly personality in this Principals of Marketing course. I enrolled in this course to put me closer to completing my bachelor's degree in marketing. I am taking BA223 through Linn-Benton Community College because it is more affordable than at Oregon State University. I am a part of the Degree Partnership Program. As for my interest in marketing, I look forward to learning about strategic product placement because I find it fascinating and would love to know the ins and outs of it.
Outside of class, I am passionate about fitness. I have been a Crossfit athlete for almost four years. I enjoy the daily workouts and competing on teams and individually. Crossfit has given me a new understanding and appreciation for my body and the community I surround myself with. On top of Crossfit, I am also a runner. I run for fun several times a week to stay in shape for an annual team relay called Rainer to Ruston. It is a 52-mile team race that takes place in Washington every June. My team always consists of members from my Crossfit gym. Overall, exercise keeps me sane. It provides me with an outlet to relax and collect my thoughts. On the plus side, it keeps me active and strong!
